Iverson L. Dunn was mentioned in the 1851 will of his father Richard D. Dunn. He was to receive a one-fifth equal share in the estate was was named an executor along with Tazewell Dunn. When the will was proved, Tazewell declined to be an executor, and Iverson was granted a certificate of probate. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 27, pages 114–115.]
On 17 November 1851, Iverson L Dunn, Richard J Muse, George F Ramsey, Evan Rice and Edward R Boughan were bound $8,000 for Iverson L Dunn’s execution of the estate of Richard D Dunn, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 27, page 120.]
