“He served as a Justice in 1765 in Buckingham County, Virginia. He was a private in the Revolution, and received land in Cumberland County, Virginia, for his services. His eldest son, Leonard Daniel, administered on his estate, consisting of 2377 pounds, 12 shillings, 6 pence. Appraisement was made October 13, 1798. The division was made, July 25th 1800. His widow, Mary Daniel was allotted 266 acres as her dower.”
