On 3 February 1745, William Munday witnessed the will of William Dix. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 7, pages 435–438.]
On 21 June 1748, James Garnett of the County of Essex sold to William Munday of the same. For £30 current money, one Acre of Ground Situate on the North Side of Gilsons Swamp Being the place where the said Garnett had once a water Grist Mill Standing and also all the Right & Tittle of him the the [sic] said James Garnett of in and to one other acre of Land adjoining to the aforesaid Acres on the south Side the sd. Swamp whereon the said William Mundays Mill now stands all which Land is now in the Actuall possession of the said Munday. Signed Jas: Garnett. Witnesses: John Smith, Richd. On 22 September 1748, William Munday of the County of Essex sold to William Roane Gent of the same. For £55 Current Money in hand, Two thirds of two acres of Land with a Water Grist Mill thereunto Adjoining and the other one third after the decease of Jane Munday mother of the said William Munday who is now in possession of part the said Mill which said two acres of Land are Scituate one on the north side the other on the South side Gilsons Swamp adjoining the said Mill all which Land is now in the actual possession of the said William Roane. Signed Wm. Munday. Witnesses: John Upshaw, Thos. Coleman, Forest Upshaw. Memorandum that two acres of land & Water Grist Mill were delivered by turf and twig. On 16 May 1749 ordered to record. On 4 December 1755, William Munday cast votes for Captain James Garnett and Mr. John Upshaw for burgesses of Essex County. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 27, pages 248–252.]
Pursuant to an order of court dated 25 January 1793, the executorship of William Webb of the estate of Jane Munday was settled by Benja. Fisher, Wm. Fisher and James Sullivan, and pursuant to a order of court bearing date September 1794, the estate was divided by JRennolds, Thomas Sale, and Benja. Fisher. Third portions went to Robert Crittenden, Hannah Davis, and John Lane, with what appear to be additional legacies to William Munday and Edmd. Munday.
