On 16 June 1794, Thomas Bohannon & Ann his wife of the County of King and Queen sold to George Rose of the County of Essex. For £20 Currant money of Virginia, a Certain Track or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the Aforesaid County of Essex Containing Thirty five Acres & a half bounded by lands of Thomas Allen and Thomas H. Broocks. Signed Thomas Bohannan, Ann her x mark Bohannan. Witnesses: Carter Croxton, John Crow, Wm Boughan. On 16 June 1794 ordered to be recorded. On 19 February 1810, Edward Rose and Job Davis were bound in the penalty of $160 for Edward Rose’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of George Rose, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 151–152.]
