On 11 July 1797, Richard Corbin and Rebecka Packet his wife of Stratton Major Parish in King and Queen County sold to John Street of the Parish of Christ Church in Middlesex County, for £50, 100 acres by survey, a tract called Farrels in the Parish of Christ Church. John Street was mentioned in the 3 March 1799 will of his brother-in-law John Daniel, who named him co-executor of the will. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Will Book 2, pages 23–24.]
Pursuant to a decree of the Worshipful court in Chancery, of Middlesex County dated 23d: November 1802, We the Subscribers do hereby report our proceedings as directed by said decree in the following manner (Vizt) Finding it impossible to divide the Slaves mentioned in the said Decree equally among the Legatees mention’d in the said decree, we proceeded to sell the said Slaves at Publick sale to the highest bidder (all the parties being present) on the 7th: day of Decembr 1802. Bill Sold to William Montague for £117.5.0, Billy Sold to Eliza: Daniel for £102.2.0, June Sold to Mary Street for £60.0.0, Penny Sold to Henry Mickleborough for £25.0.0, Nann Sold to Richard Street for £3.0.0, total sales £307.7.0. Which said sum gives a proportion, divided in five equal parts, of £61.9.4-3/4 — one equal part of which we have divided arguable to decree in three equal parts £20.9.9-1/2 each, and have allotted one of the same to the widow, and each Orphan of Henry Street decd: as directed by said decree, and we have delivered Bonds with Security for the Several amounts to Lucy Street, diwos, and Guardian to the sd Orphans of Henry Street decd. The estate of Richard Street, deceased, in account with William Montague, executor, from 1793 to 1803 was ordered to record on 28 June 1805. Includes legacies to Henry Street, Richard Street, “Legacy left my wife Frances”, payments John Street. On 28 April 1797, equal payments of 5.3.5 to John Daniel, Mary Street, Henry Mickleborough, Henry Street, my Wifes part of said money, “N.B. this is Cash collected from the sales &c. of the estate which the legatees divided among themselves”.
