On 4 July 1791, a William Jones witnessed the will of James Edmondson of Charleton Hill in the County of Essex and Parish of Southfarnham. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 14, pages 292–293.]
In August and September 1800 a William Jones surveyed Crow family land in Essex County and King and Queen County. [Essex County, Virginia, Box Chancery No. 18, items 18-B-7,14.]
On 16 March 1813, William Jones certified that he had sold all right to a legacy left him by his grandfather Benja. Jones deceased to Leonard Jones, son to William’s uncle William Jones. [Essex County, Virginia, Box Chancery No. 22, item 22-M-61.]
