On 26 January 1729, an Ambe Jones witnessed a lease and release from John Boughan of the parish of Southfarnham and County of Essex to Jos Man of the same. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 19, pages 125–127.]

Ambrose Jones was mentioned in the 5 February 1747 will of his father Richard Jones. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 8, pages 360–362.]

On 18 August 1752, Francis Jones of the parish of southfarnham and County of Essex, Planter, and Barbara his wife sold to John Jones. For £19 current money, 66 acres, more or less, in the parish of southfarnham, his part of 200 acres devised by Richd Jones Late of the said County by his last will and testament to be equally divided between Ambrose Jones, Richd Jones and the said Francis Jones. On 14 June 1756, an Ambrose Jones Junr witnessed a deed from James Boughan and Ame his wife of the County of Essex and Parish of Southfarnham to Arthur Tate. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 27, pages 215–217.]
