Tabitha Lumpkin was mentioned in the 11 March 1735/6 will of her father Henry Purkins. She was to receive negro Taylor and a feather bed and furniture. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 6, pages 46–47.]

Tabitha Lumpkin was mentioned in the 29 April 1738 will of her mother Tabitha Purkins. She was to receive 1 shilling. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 6, page 247.]

It should be noted that Tabitha may not have been Tabitha Purkins, since her mother could have had her by a marriage previous to that with Henry Purkins.
