Catharine was mentioned in the 2 December 1834 will of her husband, Alexander Dunn, proved 16 March 1835. She was to receive his entire estate and was named executrix, but on 16 March 1835 she declined to take on execution of the estate. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, page 325.]

The estate of Alexander Dunn in account with Edmund Dunn for 1835 to 1836 was ordered recorded 17 October 1836. Mentions a payment to Mrs Catharin Dunn on 1 June 1836. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, pages 60–61.]

Catharine Brooks was mentioned in the 18 September 1837 will of her brother, Barton Meador, proved 19 February 1838. I lend to my two sisters Elizabeth Hammons and Catharine Brooks all my personal estate during their lives, and then to the children of my Sister Elizabeth.
