NOTE:
In 1987, a well meaning researcher, Glenna L. Deal, published a list of Luttrell lineage that contained substantial errors, but which continues to be cited as a source, although it lacks documentation. Among its claims:

This is incorrect.

There was a William Luttrell who had children Fanny and Elizabeth: On 24 August 1801, it was ordered that the Overseers of the Poor in Cople Parish bind out according to law Fanny Littrill and Elizabeth Littrill, orphans of William Littrill deceased. [Westmoreland County, Virginia, Order Book 1801–04, page 136.] (I see no evidence suggesting that William’s wife was named Mary McGuire.)

Note that this William Luttrell (or Littrill) was deceased by 24 August 1801. And his two children are clearly in dire circumstances.

But there’s a second William Luttrell in Westmoreland, who buys land in and sells it in 1809 — years after the death of the first William.

On 26 August 1799, William Luttrell bought a parcel that was part of a larger tract called Curryomen from Orrick Chilton for $3,000. [Westmoreland County, Virginia, Deed and Will Book 20, pages 20–21.]

On 5 December 1809, William Luttrell and Kesiah his wife sold to Vincent Edmonds. For $30, tract called Currioman conveyed from Orich Chilton to the said William Luttrell. Described by survey marks. Total 10 acres plus one pole. Signed William Luttrel. Space for Kesiah Luttrell left blank. Witnesses: A. McKenney, John Waller Jones. Ordered recorded 26 February 1810. [Westmoreland County, Virginia, Deed and Will Book 22, pages 29–31.]

It is this second William Luttrell who was the father of John M., James, Frances, and William, with two wives, Elizabeth Marmaduke and Keziah Marmaduke.

In fact, William and Keziah are married in July 1801, a month before Fanny and Elizabeth are bound out to the overseers of the poor: On 17 July 1801, Keziah Marmaduke gave her consent to marry William Luttrel, and on the same day William Luttrell and George Field posted bond for the marriage. [Westmoreland County, Virginia, Marriage Register 4, 1797-1801, items 1-18 and 1-18a.]

Fanny Davis, orphaned in 1801, did indeed marry Samuel S. Davis in 1816 — her 13 acres of land inherited from her mother transferred to Samuel S. Davis, and her sister Elizabeth retained her 13 acres of land. But Frances Luttrell, child #3 of the second William Luttrell, is mentioned in year later as Frances Luttrell, not Frances Davis. For example:

On 2 January 1821, Frances Luttrell was mentioned as a landowner bordering lands of James B. Luttrell in a sale from James B. Luttrell to John Mothershead. [Westmoreland County, Virginia, Deed and Will Book 24, page 209.]

So there were clearly two William Luttrells whose paths crossed in Westmoreland around 1801 — and a Fanny Luttrell and a Frances Luttrell. They’re different people.
