On 7 March 1954, an article in The Baltimore Sun stated:
Miss Fannon Is Married
The wedding of Miss Mary Elizabeth Fannon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Fannon, Sr., of Cloverhill road, and Mr. William F. Zorzi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Zorzi, of Chapelgate lane, took place recently.
The Rev. George L. Hopkins performed the ceremony at the Cathedral of the Assumption. He was assisted by the Rt. Rv. Henry F. Grabenstein, of Washington; the Rev. Leonard E. Ripple and the Rev. John F. Sheridan, S.J., of this city. A reception was held at the Emerson Hotel.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of blush tulle trimmed with Chantilly lace. Her veil matched the dress, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids, lilies of the valley and pale pink roses.
The Bride’s Attendants
The bride’s sister, Miss Alice Ann Fannon, was the maid of honor, and Mrs. William P. Fannon, Jr., was the bridesmaid. They wore dresses of tulle in shades of pink with matching feather hats and carried bouquets of sweetheart roses and lilies of the valley.
Mr. Zorzi was the best man for his son. The ushers were Mr. William P. Fannon, Jr., Mr. Richard A. Lidinsky, Mr. James M. Kelmartin and Mr. Thomas P. Kelmartin, all of this city, and Mr. William F. Hafner, of Trenton, N.J.
After a wedding trip to New York city and parts of New England, the couple will live at the Lenton Heights Apartments.
