On 29 November 1901, the Deutsche Correspondent reported:
“Schäfer—Trautwein.
Im Pfarrhause an der Ecke von Central-Avenue und Fayettestrasse traute gestern Abend Pastor E. Huber von der St. Matthäi-Geminde Hrn. Louis Trautwein mit Frl. Barbara Schäfer. Als Trauzeugen sungirten Hr. M. Schäfer und Frl. J. Hoblissell.” — “In the rectory on the corner of Central Avenue and Fayette Street, pastor Pastor E. Huber from St. Matthew's Parish, married Mr. Louis Trautwein and Miss Barbara Schäfer last night. As witnesses, Hr. M. Schäfer and Miss J.
