Edmund was mentioned in the 14 August 1804 will of his father, Edmund Noel, proved on 19 September 1808. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 88–89.]

On 27 December 1813 a division of the slaves of the estate of the late Edmund Noel was made “between John Richeson, Robert Sale, & George Turner in right of their wives, and Polly Noel, Juliet Noel, Delilah Noel & Edmund Noel, the children…” by W Fisher, James Hunter, and Wm Noel. “I was under age when the foregoing Division was made — I am now of legal age and do agree to it, and hold myself bound my it — Given under my hand the 21st day of Feby. 1814 Edmund F. On 20 November 1820, Edmund F. Noel, Richard Motley and William Fisher were bound in the penalty of $8,500 for Edmund F. Noel’s and Richard Motley’s execution of the estate of John Richeson, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, pages 149–150.]

The estate of John Richeson in account with Edmund F. Noel, one of the executors, from 1820 to 1823 was settled on 22 October 1823 by James Hunter, Ro: Hill, and Walter Bowie. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, pages 46–48.]

On 17 November 1823, Edmund F. Noel was bound without security in the penalty of $20,000 for his executorship of the estate of Edmund Noel, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, pages 419–420.]

On 19 December 1823, an inventory and appraisal of the estate of Edmund Noel, deceased, made by Walter Bowie, William Fisher, Wm. C. Latane, and Richard Motley, and was submitted on 16 May 1825 by Edmund F. Noel, executor. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, pages 182–184.]

The estate of Edmund Noel, deceased, in account with Edmund F. Noel, one of the executors, from 1823 to 1825, was settled on 11 Feburary 1825 by John Beazley, Richd. Motley, and Larkin Noel. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, page 192–193.]

On 15 December 1828, Edmund F. Noel and Warner Lewis were bound in the penalty of $5,000 for Edmund F. Noel’s administration of the estate of Delila Noel. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 21, pages 311–312.]

On 19 October 1829, legatees of Edmund Noel, deceased — George Turner, Sally Sale, Polly Noel, Julia Noel, and Delilah Noel — acknowledged that they received from Edmund F. Noel the sum of $100 each that was due to them as legatees in the will of said Edmund Noel dated 26 October 1823. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, page 35.]

On 22 November 1831, Edmund F. Noel and George Wright were bound in the penalty of $5,000 for Edmund F. Noel’s executorship of the estate of Julia Noel, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, page 355.]

The estate of Julia Noel, deceased, in account with Edmund F. Noel, administrator with the will annexed, from 1831 to 1832 was ordered recorded 17 September 1832. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, pages 493–496.]

On 17 September 1832, Edmund F Noel and George Wright were bound in the penalty of $10,000 for Edmund F Noel’s administration with the will annexed of the estate of Betty Noel, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, page 504.]

On 3 September 1833, Edmund F Noel witnessed the will of Martha Sullivan, and proved the will in court on 17 March 1834. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, page 244.]
