The will of Robert Clark of the County of Essex was dated 13 January 1834. To my beloved wife whole estate as long as she remains my widow. After her marriage or decease, my estate to be divided among my thirteen children, namely John Elizabeth Good Lewis Lucy Sucky Robert William Thomas Polly Marthaann Adiline Jaemes and Henry in the following manner. I have given John all that I intend for him. I lend to daughter Elizabeth Good the piece of land she now lives on containing five acres, and have given her all I intend for her Dureing her life then to go to her Children. To son Lewis thurty Dollars. The ballance of my Estate to be Equally Divided between my Ten younger Children namely Lucy Sucky Robert William Thomas Polly Marthaann Adiline James and Henry. Signed Robert Clark. Witnesses: Mourning Johnston, Lucy her x mark Clark. On 20 May 1839 proved by the oath of Mourning Johnston. On 21 August 1839 proved by the oath of Lucy Clarke now Lucy Allen.
