Eliza S. Waring and her four children Robert Payne, William Lawson, Lucy Robb, and Thomas Robinson Waring, were mentioned in the 11 January 1844 will of her father-in-law and the children’s grandfather Robert P. Waring, proved 10 February 1844. They were to receive half the estate. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 25, page 217.]
In the 11 January 1844 will of Robert P. Waring of the County of Essex, son-in-law Richard Baylor and grandsons Robert Payne and William Lawson Waring were named executors. On 10 February 1844, proved by all three witnesses. Certificate granted to Richard Baylor in order to his obtaining probate, entered into a bond in the penalty of one million dollars.
