Josiah was mentioned in the 28 August 1800 will of his grandmother, Rachel, proved on 20 October 1800. All Rachel’s estate was to be lent to her daughter Fanny Munday, and after Fanny’s decease to descend to her three sons, Josiah, Jonas, and Zachariah. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 16, page 42.]
