William, not of age, was mentioned in the 29 July 1814 will of his father, Robert Baylor, presented in court on 16 January 1815. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 88–89.]

“In Obedience to the annexed order of Essex County, we have assigned to William Baylor his tenth part of his Fathers Estate on the 24th of September 1826 when be became of age…” Dated 29 January 1827 by Richard Rowzee, D. On 1 January 1836, William Baylor, Baynham Baylor, and Alexander T. Baylor, heirs of Robert Baylor, deceased, acknowledged that they had settled in full with Richard Baylor, administrator de bonis non with the will annexed of the said Robert Baylor, and had received their full proportions of the estate.
