The will of Thomas Hill was dated 6 January 1823. To my son Joseph P. Hill, a negro woman named Eada, and all her children, Rose, Felishey, Milley, Eada, Molly, Mager, and Frances, and a feather bed and furniture. To my son Wm. H. Hill, negroes Davey, Josephat, Cornelius, Yong Aggee, and Solomon, a small boy. All the remainder of my estate I leave in the caer of my son Wm. H. Hill during the life of his mother. My son Wm. H. Hill to pay my son Joseph P. Hill £100 one year after he has full possession and after all my debts are paid. After my wife’s death, my estate to be divided into three parts, one to Joseph P. Hill, and the other two to Wm. H. Hill. “as to Ransdill Hill, he conducts himself so bad I do not wish him to have any part of my Estate whatever”. Son Wm. H. Hill to be executor. Signed Tho: Hill.
