On 18 September 1815, Amos Newhall, Thomas Trice and Thomas Jessee jr were bound in the penalty of $4,000 for Amos Newhall’s administration with the last will and testament of the goods, chattels and credits of Mary Montague, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, page 209.]
