Thomas Pitts was mentioned in the 19 April 1806 will of his father, Thomas Pitts, proved on 20 October 1806. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 16, pages 435–438.]

The estate of Thomas Pitts deceased in account with his son Thomas Pitts from 1806 to 1808 was ordered recorded on 20 June 1808. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 77–79.]

On 15 June 1812, Thomas Pitts and Spencer Harrison were bound in the penalty of $2,500 for Thomas Pitts’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Richard Green, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 385–386.]

“Sally Green and her children, Thomas P George Green and Mary E Green in account with Thomas Pitts Trustee under the Will and his deceased father Thomas Pitts” for the years 1807 to 1818 was settled on 15 October 1818 by Muscoe Garnett, James M. Garnett jr., and Paul Micou. States in 1808, “Note Sally Green departed this life this year” in 1812, “Note Richard Green died this year”. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, pages 5–7.]

On 16 October 1837, Thomas Pitts was bound in the penalty of $500 for his administration of the estate of Joseph Taylor, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 201.]
