Juliet was mentioned in the 14 August 1804 will of her father, Edmund Noel, proved on 19 September 1808. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 88–89.]
On 27 December 1813 a division of the slaves of the estate of the late Edmund Noel was made “between John Richeson, Robert Sale, & George Turner in right of their wives, and Polly Noel, Juliet Noel, Delilah Noel & Edmund Noel, the children…” by W Fisher, James Hunter, and Wm Noel. “I was under age when the foregoing Division was made — I am now of legal age and do agree to it, and hold myself bound my it — Given under my hand the 21st day of Feby. 1814 Edmund F. Noel”. Dower right of Betty Noel, widow of Edmund Noel, is acknowledged. Ordered recorded on 21 February 1814. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 519–522.]
On 19 October 1829, legatees of Edmund Noel, deceased — George Turner, Sally Sale, Polly Noel, Julia Noel, and Delilah Noel — acknowledged that they received from Edmund F. Noel the sum of $100 each that was due to them as legatees in the will of said Edmund Noel dated 26 October 1823. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, page 35.]
The will of Julia Noel was dated 15 April 1831. To Julia E. Richeson $50 and furniture. Balance of household furniture to Delia Richeson and Giles N. Richeson, under age. Balance of estate to my three nieces and nephew, Elizabeth N. Richeson, Jane Richeson, Delia Richeson, and Giles N. Richeson. Codicil of 15 September 1831: my sister Sally Sale to have $50, and Julia Noel to have $50. Signed Julia Noel. Witnesses: Susan M. Brown, Edmund F. Noel. Proved 20 November 1831. On 22 November 1831, Edmund F. Noel and George Wright were bound in the penalty of $5,000 for Edmund F. Noel’s executorship of the estate of Julia Noel, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, page 355.]
On 18 February 1832, an inventory and appraisal of the estate of Julia Noel was made by Larkin Noel, Achilles Joel Jr, and James Powers. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, page 408.]
