On 21 May 1822, Josiah Minter, Thomas Boughan, Caston Boughan, and Thomas Shearwood were bound in the penalty of $5,000 for Josiah Minter’s executorship of the estate of Thomas Dennett, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, pages 294–295.]
The estate of Thomas Dennett, deceased, in account with Josiah Minter from 1825 to 1828 was settled on 11 January 1828 by Was: H Purkins, George Hill, and James Croxton jr. Mentions negro man Washington. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 21, page 221.]
