John Isham, one of the twenty children of Euseby Isham of Picheley, and of Anne his wief, daughter of Giles Pulton of Desburgh, esquier; married Elizabeth, daughter of Nicholas Barker citizen of London, and was once governour of the English marchaunt adventurers in Flaunders, and thrice warden of the mercers of London, purchased the mannor of parsonage of this plarish of Lamport, and was twenty two yeares justice of peace, and once sherriff of this shyre of Worthton, and died in seventeenth day of March, anno Domini one thousand five hundred ninty five, aged seventy years six months and the saide Elizabeth died the … daye of January ano Dni 1594. leaving iii sonnes Thomas Henry and Richard.
