On August 22, 1970, J. LEONARD SR., beloved husband of Mary T. Young (nee Kopp), and devoted father of Mrs. W. Clara Vogel, Mrs. Alverta Dukes and James L. Young Jr. Also survived by five grandchildren. ¶Funeral services are to be held at H. Sander & Sons, North avenue and Broadway, on Wednesday at 10 A.M. Interment in Loudon Park National Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M.

J. L. Young, Plastering Firm Chief
J. Leonard Young, Sr., who headed his own plastering concern for many years, died Saturday at Union Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was 78 years old. ¶Based in Baltimore, the J. Leonard Young firm has done plastering work in such places as Ocean City, Roanoke, Va., and Greensboro, N.C. ¶A native of Baltimore, Mr. Young lived at 3103 Weaver avenue for 31 years. ¶He served in the Navy during World War I. ¶Mr. Young was a deacon in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Fellowship Church on Eastern avenue. ¶He is survived by his wife, the former Mary T. Kopp; two daughters, Mrs. W. Clara Vogel and Mrs. Alverta C. Duke; a son, James L. Young, Jr., all of Baltimore, and five grandchildren. ¶Arrangements for funeral services have not yet been completed.
