Possibly Milly died in 1822, because in 1822 or 1823 her husband Gabriel Boughan moved from Dinwiddie County to Essex County, where he had brothers and sisters. Milly is not listed in the 1830 census.

In the marriage record of Thomas Boughan (son of Milly Ward) and Mrs. Mary E. Saunders, his parents are given as Gabriel Boughan and Miss Milly Ward.
