The estate of Jesse Boughan in account with John Games from 1815 to 1816 was recorded on 17 December 1821. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, pages 262–263.]
On 21 August 1823 James Games, who married Sally, widow of John Boughan, sold land to Warner Lewis in trust for James and Polly Boughan, children of John and Sally Boughan. It mentions that another child of James and Polly Boughan married Hundley Moody. James Games signed with an X. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 41, page 48.]
In about 1825, orators and oratrices John, James Catharine, and Prisilla Games and Thomas Crow and Sally his wife who was Sally Boughan petitioned the Chancery Court. That John Boughan who was the father of your oratrix Sally Crow died in ____ intestate leaving the following children: your oratrix Sally Crow, Caty Moody wife of Hundley Moody who has died intestate without heir, Jesse Boughan and James Boughan who has also died leaving James, Polly, Benjamin and Austin the last two named infants. Jesse has died leaving a last will and testament. John Boughan died soon after Jesse. Jesse’s wife died intestate without issue leaving your orators and oratrices John, James, Catharine and Priscilla Games brothers and sisters of the whole blood her heirs. On 21 February 1826, a James Games, Wm A Wright and Thomas Pilcher were bound $500 for James Games’s administration of the goods chattles and credits of Nancy Games. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, page 347.]
In an undated petition, oratrices Catharine Games and Pressellar Games complained that Thomas Games their father died in ____ testate leaving sons James and John and four daughters Ann, Elizabeth and your oratrices. That Ann died in ____ intestate. Elizabeth has also died. James’s wife is Nancy. James and Nancy conveyed their share of Thomas Games’s estate to Thomas Pilcher who is now deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Box Chancery No. 44, item 44-D-36.]
