On 5 March 1760, Bartholomew Yates and John Robinson were bound £10,000 for Bartholomew Yates’s guardianship of Sarah Reade, orphan of John Reade deceased. It seems unlikely that this Sarah Reed would be the same person, since she had a child that same year. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Will Book E, 27–28.]

Sarah Reed was mentioned, as “Sarah Daniel the Wife of John Daniel” in the 21 August 1763 will of James Reid of the Town of Urbanna. She received £25 current money, and a previous gift of a Negro Girl Jenny was confirmed. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Will Book E, 186–188.]

On 4 October 1768, the division of the remaining estate of James Reid Esquire was recorded. The balance was split among the legatees, including Sarah Daniel who received £11.17.0-3/4. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Will Book E, 346–349.]
