“He was made Vestryman in Christ Church at a meeting September 4, 1694, but is not recorded as an attending Vestryman until later. He served as a Justice in Middlesex County in December 1702 and for some years later. He was Undersheriff of Middlesex County, Virginia in 1680. He was called Captain Robert Daniel, June 17, 1703. His record has been confused with that of his son, Robert, for both married and reared families in Middlesex County, Virginia. The will of Robert Daniel of Middlesex County, Virginia was dated December 23, 1720; proved in Court March 7, 1721; recorded in Book 4, page 168, Middlesex County, Virginia. It mentions Sons, Robert and James - land in Jamaica; daughter Jane Seager; sons, Harry and Garrett; wife, Margaret; daughter, Margarott Ware. Executors: Wife, Margaret and James Daniel. Witnesses: John Bryant, Mary Hunt, John Owen.”
