On 21 June 1748, James Garnett of the County of Essex sold to William Munday of the same. For £30 current money, one Acre of Ground Situate on the North Side of Gilsons Swamp Being the place where the said Garnett had once a water Grist Mill Standing and also all the Right & Tittle of him the the [sic] said James Garnett of in and to one other acre of Land adjoining to the aforesaid Acres on the south Side the sd. Swamp whereon the said William Mundays Mill now stands all which Land is now in the Actuall possession of the said Munday. Signed Jas: Garnett. Witnesses: John Smith, Richd. Beesley, Stephen Munday, Thomas Munday, John Allen, Phillip Gatewood, Joseph Reeves, Cornelius Noel, Joseph Burnett, John Gordan, James Munday, and Willm. Munday.
