This Richard Haile probably had a son Richard Haile by 1672. On 7 March 1671/2, Henry Awbrey gave a cow unto his godson Richard Haile junior, who was not yet ten years old. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 5, page 19.]

On 20 October 1672, Richard Hale was mentioned as a bordering landowner in Rappahannock County in a deed from Thomas Gouldman and Alice his wife to William Dyer. [(Old) Rappahannock County, Virginia, Deed Book 5, pages 101–103.]

On 4 January 1674/5, Theophilus Whale with the consent of Elizabeth his wife sold unto Richard Haile a patent from Will. Berkeley Knt Governer of Virginia, 450 acres to Theophilus Whale and Daniell Swillivant dated 28 September 1674. Dated 4 January 1674/5. Signed Theophilus Whale. On 17 April 1682, Richard Haile gave a mare unto his son-in-law Richard Tayler: “Know all men by these presents That I Richard Haile of the County of Rappa and pish of ffarnham doe hereby ffreely give unto Richard Tayler my Sonn in law a yearling Mare Colt of a dark bay Coulorn branded with two docking Irons mealy mouthed. And a stare in the forehead To have use and Enjoy the said Mare Colt unto the Said Richard Tayler and to his heires & assignes for ever As Witness my hand this 17[?]th day of Aprill 1682”. On 28 March 1685, Richard Haile of Rappahannock County, planter, sold to Richard Worsdall of the said county, planter. For 3,500 pounds tobacco and cask, 100 acres that formerly belonged to Thomas Saddler. Signed Richard his 2 mark Haile, Mary her ||| mark Haile. On 6 October 1694, Richard Haile was granted a land patent of 720 acres of land in Essex County, bordered by that of Gouldman, Major Robert Beverley deceased, Theophilus Whale and Daniell Swellivant. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 9, pages 130–131.]

On 1 November 1696, Richard Haile gave 720 acres granted by patent on 6 October 1694 to his son John Haile out of love and affection. Signed Richard Halle [sic]. Witnesses: Tho Edmondson, James Edmondson, Mary her M mark Edmondson. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 9, pages 130–131.]

On 10 July 1703, John Haile of the County of Essex, son of heir of Captain Richard Haile deceased, sold for 2,000 pounds of tobacco to John Loving of Essex County a tract of 100 acres lying partly in King and Queen County and partly in Essex County that had been granted as part of a patent to John Haile’s father Captain Richard Haile.
