Benjamin Haile was mentioned in the 17 August 1744 will of his father John Haile. He was to receive an equal share of the estate. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 7, pages 214–216.]
On 18 July 1748, Benja Haile witnessed a deed from James Boughan and Mary his wife of the Parish of South Farnham to Bryant Edmondson of Caroline County. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 24, pages 280–282.]
On 9 March 1750, Benjamin Haile and Arabella his wife of Essex County, Southfarnham Parish, sold Thomas Haile of same county and parish. For £200, Benjamin and Arabella sell 180 acres given to Benjamin Haile by his father John Haile deceased by deed on 18 October 1742. Dated 9 March 1750. Signed Benja Haile, Arabella her x mark Haile. On 18 February 1755, a memorandum was recorded, witnessed by Benja Haile, that William Bennett had given his daughter Isbell a slave Pheby. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 27, page 95.]
