Anne is mentioned in her father’s will of 1697.

On 9 February 1702, Richard Meader of the Parish of ffarnham in the County of Essex a Cooper & Anne his wife one of the Daughters of John Mess Late of the Parrish and County aforesd deced sold to William Cox of the Parish and County aforesd planter. For Two thousand pounds of Good Sweete Scented Tobo & Caske, all that prcell of Land that was given by the last will & Testamt of the sd John Mess deced unto the sd Ann bounded lying on the west side of a branch called popular Branch, adjoyning upon the Division Line of Jno Harper which said Land is part of a tract of Land that the sd Mess bought of John & Jenry Boughan on 2 April 1684, one hundred acres be the same more or less.
