Thomas Ley was probably the Thomas Lee mentioned in the 30 January 1725 will of his aunt Susanna Bryant, who called him her “cosin” and bequeathed unto him £30 sterling to be given when he reached the age of 21. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 4, pages 193–194.]
