On 19 April 1775, James Edmondson Jr. and Robert Singleton were bound for the marriage of James Edmondson Jr. and Ann McCarty Singleton, daughter of Joshua and Ann (Samford) Singleton. On 19 May 1778, James Edmondson Junior and Anne McCartey his wife of Southfarnham Parish sold to William Edmondson. For £300, land bordering Thomas Wood, James Booker, Benjamin Jones, James Booker, William Edmondson, Thomas Allen, William Dunn, Elizabeth Dunn, and Nathaniel Dunn, amounting to 300 acres. Signed James Edmondson, Ann Mc Edmondson. Witnesses: James Booker, Thomas Wood, William Dunn. Recorded 15 June 1778. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 31, pages 395–397.]

Anne M.C. Edmondson was mentioned in the October 1776 will of her husband James Edmondson which was proved 15 November 1779. She was to receive half of his estate unless “she should take it in her head to Mary again”. She was named a co-executor of the will. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 13, page 262.]
