William Greenhill was mentioned in the 1 March 1725 will of his father William Greenhill. He was to receive the lower part of the land and was named a co-executor with his mother. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 4, pages 159–160.]

The estate of a William Greenhill deceased was in account for the year 1752…in Pursuance to an order 19 November 1751 and afterwards continued the 17th day of December 1751 we the subscribers did meat at the house of John Allen & then & there did examine & settle the Acct of the Administration of the Estate of Wm Greenhill decd as was directed; and we find Twenty pounds Three Shillings & five pence remained of the Estate; but if the Court allows for Education of Children and Supporting them there will be due to John Allen as above Stated Ten pounds Seven Shillings and Eight pence this 9th June 1752.
