On 16 October 1664, Edmond Mickelborough of Lancaster County, Virginia, sold 200 acres of land to Moses Buffery. Later, on 1 November 1665, 50 acres were deeded back by Edmund to Beffery, and the presumption is that this was to secure the consent of Buffery’s wife, Eliza, to the sale of the 200 acres. On 16 February 1664/65, Moses Buffery of Lancaster County, Virginia, planter, sold to Edmond Mickleborough of the same, planter. For £10 sterling, 200 acres of land lying & being upon the head of a branch of Burnhams Creek. Signed Moses Buffery. Witnesses: Robt. Chowninge[?], Geo: Colings [maybe signed with mark R?]. On 10 May 1665, ordered to be recorded. [Lancaster County, Virginia, Deeds and Will Book 2, pages 314–315.]

On 1 November 1665, Edmund Mickleborow of the Couny of Lanr in Virga. planter sold to Moses Buffery of the same. For £5 sterling, 50 acres of land lying & being in the head of Sunderland Creek. Signed Edmund Mickleborow. Witnesses: Tho: Jones, Robt Chowning. [Lancaster County, Virginia, Deed Book 1654–1702, pages 353–354.]

On 11 July 1666, Eliz: the wife of Moses Buffery consented to the sale of 200 acres made by her husband unto Edmund Mickleborow which land is now in the possession of ye sd Mickleborow. Signed Eliz: Buffery. Witness: Edward Dale. [Lancaster County, Virginia, Deed Book 1654–1702, page 354.]
