In about 1804, Francis Brizendine sued for distribution of family estate: Orator Francis Brizendine is the eldest son of Francis Brizendine who left a will in 1776 and died in 1776, leaving a wife Elizabeth and other children Thomas Brizendine, Randolph Brizendine, Armsted Brizendine, Susanna Brizendine and Mary Bush.
