In about 1850, orator George H. Dobyns complained to the Chancery Court. That in 1846, he and and Richard Croxton were merchants. Richard Croxton died in 1848 leaving a widow and five children to wit Frances G. Croxton, Thomas Croxton, Mary Farland, Susan F.
