Thomas Munday was mentioned in the 2 October 1811 will of his father, James Munday, proved on 17 November 1811. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 325–326.]

On 4 January 1815, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of James Munday was made by Micajah Munday, James Hunter and William Garnett, with equal distribution valued at $1,035.50 each to six legatees, to wit William Younger, Sally Munday, Edmund Munday, Thomas Munday, Muscoe Munday, and Mereday Munday. Ordered recorded on 16 January 1815. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 99–100.]

Thomas Munday was mentioned in the 14 November 1831 will of his uncle, Micajah Munday, presented in court 19 March 1832. To nephew Thomas Munday slaves Jane, Billy, Eliza & Susan. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, pages 102–105.]

Thomas Munday was mentioned in the 20 November 1835 will of his sister Sarah Munday. He was to be lent a slave named Sam, and if Thomas was to have a child the slave was to go to the child. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 25, pages 220–221.]

In March 1836, Thomas Munday served on a grand jury for Essex County. [Essex County, Virginia, Box Chancery No. 45, item 45-M-45.]

In 1839 (date and month blank), Thomas Munday witnessed a bond between Robert Munday, Sally Munday, Elizabeth Stokes and James Burke. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 451.]
