Anne Hardee was mentioned in the 15 February 1769 will of her mother Sebell Carlton. Bequests were made to Anne’s daughters. Since Sebell appointed “my daughter executrix” but meaning her daughter Catharine, it is possible that Anne had died before the date of the will. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 12, pages 365–366.]
