On 26 August 1805, an appraisal of the estate of Aris Alexander was made by L. Booker, John Jones, and Coleman Jones, ordered recorded 22 April 1806. On 20 February 1815, Nancy Jones and Thomas Hill were bound in the penalty of $6,000 for Nancy Jones’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Joseph Jones, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, page 107.]
