Anthony was mentioned in the 17 April 1778 will of his father Benjamin Dunn. “I give my land & plantation to be Equilly Divided amongst my three sons Benjamin Dunn Dickinson Dunn and Antoney Crow Dunn to them and their heirs forever … I give to my son Anthoney Crow Dunn one Cow and one Iron pot & one feather bed & furniture to him & his heirs forever … the Rest of my Estate after the payment of my Just Debts I give to be Equally Divided amongst all my living Children to them and their heirs forever.” The will was proved on 18 October 1779. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 13, page 261.]

On 7 November 1798, Anthony Crow Dunn and Ann his wife sold to Dickinson Dunn, all of Southfarnham Parish and Essex County. For £150 current money of Virginia, a parcel in the parish and county aforesaid, and whereon the said Anthony now lives, “Begining at a small sweet Gum in the Dragon swamp corner to this land and the land of the said Dickinson in Mrs: Crutchers line, and runing along the Said Dickinsons line a northwordly course to a lorrel on the north side of the Cobbin branch Corner to the sd. Dickinson and Anthony in Reuben Marloes line Thence down the Said branch in the intersection of the high and low ground its several courses according to several marked trees in the said intersection down to the Dragon swampe, thence up the said Dragon swamp its several meanders to the begining containing by estimation one hundred and one Acres more or less, It being the land part of which was divised to the said Anthony by the last Will & Testament of Benjamin Dunn decd and the other part by the Will of Phllip Dunn decd who became entitled thereto by the deed of Gift made to him by the said Benjamin Dunn decd and the Reversion to the said Dickinson Dunn…” Signed Anthony Crow Dunn, Ann her x mark Dunn.
