Sarah Moody was mentioned in the 13 October 1765 will of her husband George Moody. The will was proved on 16 June 1783 and 21 July 1783. She was to be lent during her widowhood all of his estate, real and personal, but if she married again she was to have only what the law would allow. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 13, page 379.]
