John Rowzee was mentioned in the 11 March 1798 will (with codicil of 12 April 1799) of his father, William Rowzee, proved on 17 June 1799. He and his other siblings were under the age of 25. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 15, pages 463–465.]

Miss Frances Rouzee was in account with Edward Rouzee from 1811 to 1823. Initial entry of 1 January 1811 was “To balance due on my account as your Guardian,” but on 1 June 1816 states, “To balance due F. Rouzee this day continuation of account since the death of Frances Rouzee until I took administr: on her Estate, and since to this day of settlement. In calculating a statement of interest, the date of 10 March 1816 is twice used, which may have been the date of her death. On 8 August 1823, Edward Rouzee’s administration of the estate of Frances Rouzee, deceased, was settled by James Hunter, Wm Garnett, Richard Rouzee, and Jas. L. Cox, with equal thirds distributed to Miss E. M. Rouzee, to the infant children of John Rouzee, deceased, and to the administrator in his own right. Ordered recorded 15 September 1823.
