Eliza Rowzee was mentioned in the 11 March 1798 will (with codicil of 12 April 1799) of her father, William Rowzee, proved on 17 June 1799. She and her other siblings were under the age of 25. Eliza was at one point referred to as “Eliza Mosley”. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 15, pages 463–465.]
“I do hereby acknowledge that I have received from my brother Edward Rowzee, full satisfaction for the balance due to me from him as Executor of our Father, which balance was Four hundred and ninety eight pounds, and four pence half penny as appears by the settlement of that account on the 1st of August 1820; and also that I have fully settled, and been satisfied by him, for a further balanced [sic] of Two hundred and two pounds 8/11 3/4 due to me on the settlement of his accounts as the Guardian, the agent and administrator of our sister Frances as settled on the 8th August 1820; and I do hereby fully acquit him from all claim on account of either or both of the above mention’d balances — Essex 10th Septr 1823. — Eliza M.
