On 17 October 1807, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of John Rennolds & James Rennolds deceased were made by Jas: G. Taliaferro, Ro: Baylor, and James M. Garnett, with lots to Mrs. Elizabeth Rennolds (1/3 of the slaves belonging to the estate of John Rennolds, deceased), and the remaining slaves belonging to John Rennolds and James Rennolds divided into eight equal proportions to Nancy Rennolds, Sidney Rennolds, David Dishman, Richard Rennolds, Andrew Rennolds, John Miller, Lewis Rennolds, and Daniel Rennolds. A division of the lands of John Rennolds was also made to the same parties (with a large map included). [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 395–399a.]
On 21 November 1814, Daniel Rennolds, Andrew Rennolds, David Dishman, Lewis Rennolds and James Rennolds were bound in the penalty of $4,000 for Daniel Rennolds’s and Andrew Rennolds’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Elizabeth Rennolds, deceased.
