On 17 October 1807, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of John Rennolds & James Rennolds deceased were made by Jas: G. Taliaferro, Ro: Baylor, and James M. Garnett, with lots to Mrs. Elizabeth Rennolds (1/3 of the slaves belonging to the estate of John Rennolds, deceased), and the remaining slaves belonging to John Rennolds and James Rennolds divided into eight equal proportions to Nancy Rennolds, Sidney Rennolds, David Dishman, Richard Rennolds, Andrew Rennolds, John Miller, Lewis Rennolds, and Daniel Rennolds. On 21 November 1814, Daniel Rennolds, Andrew Rennolds, David Dishman, Lewis Rennolds and James Rennolds were bound in the penalty of $4,000 for Daniel Rennolds’s and Andrew Rennolds’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Elizabeth Rennolds, deceased. On 19 July 1819, Daniel Rennolds and Andrew Rennolds were bound in the penalty of $500 for Daniel Rennolds’s executorship of the estate of John Dishman, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, page 56.]
