On 17 October 1807, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of John Rennolds & James Rennolds deceased were made by Jas: G. Taliaferro, Ro: Baylor, and James M. Garnett, with lots to Mrs. Elizabeth Rennolds (1/3 of the slaves belonging to the estate of John Rennolds, deceased), and the remaining slaves belonging to John Rennolds and James Rennolds divided into eight equal proportions to Nancy Rennolds, Sidney Rennolds, David Dishman, Richard Rennolds, Andrew Rennolds, John Miller, Lewis Rennolds, and Daniel Rennolds. A division of the lands of John Rennolds was also made to the same parties (with a large map included). [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 395–399a.]

On 21 November 1814, Daniel Rennolds, Andrew Rennolds, David Dishman, Lewis Rennolds and James Rennolds were bound in the penalty of $4,000 for Daniel Rennolds’s and Andrew Rennolds’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Elizabeth Rennolds, deceased. On 19 July 1819, Daniel Rennolds and Andrew Rennolds were bound in the penalty of $500 for Daniel Rennolds’s executorship of the estate of John Dishman, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, page 56.]

The estate of John Dishman in account with Daniel Rennolds from 1819 to 1823 was ordered recorded on 17 October 1823. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, pages 41–42.]

On 16 April 1838, Daniel Rennolds, Thomas B. Garnett, William Oliver, Muscoe Garnett Jr., Lewis Rennolds, Richard Motley, George T. F. Lanier, and Philip J. Rennolds were bound in the penalty of $65,000 for Daniel Rennolds’s and Thomas B. Garnett’s executorship of the estate of Barbee Spindle, deceased. The estate of Silas B. Spindle, deceased, in account with Daniel Rennolds and Thomas B. Garnett, executors, from 1838 to 1839 was ordered recorded 15 July 1839. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, pages 392–397.]
