On 20 September 1824, Ann Mann, Peter Trible, William H. Hill and William B. Matthews were bound in the penalty of $2,000 for Ann Mann’s administration of the goods, chattles and credits of Philip Mann junior. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, page 74.]

The estate of Philip Mann Senior in account with Ann Mann, administratrix, from 1827 to 1831 includes a settlement of the estate, with 1/3 to the widow in right of dower, and the remainder of the estate divided into seven equal parts to Philip Mann, Washington Mann, Martha G. Mitchell, Nancy Mann, Alfred Mann, Elizabeth Mann, and Richd. Mann’s heirs.
