Winslow B. Smether was mentioned in the 26 November 1829 will of his mother, Sally Smether, proved 21 December 1829. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, pages 36–37.]
On 21 December 1829, Winslow B. Smether and Robert Hill were bound in the penalty of $200 for Winslow B. Smether’s administration of the estate of Sally Smether, deceased. On 19 January 1835, Robert Hill and James Roy Micou Jr were bound in the penalty of $150 for Robert Hill’s administration of the estate of Winslow B Smither. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, pages 317–318.]
