Winslow B. Smether was mentioned in the 26 November 1829 will of his mother, Sally Smether, proved 21 December 1829. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, pages 36–37.]

On 21 December 1829, Winslow B. Smether and Robert Hill were bound in the penalty of $200 for Winslow B. Smether’s administration of the estate of Sally Smether, deceased. (The name is spelled both Smether and Smither in the document, and Winslow signed Smether.) [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, pages 37–38.]

The estate of Sally Smither, deceased, in account with Winslow B Smither, adminsitrator, for 1830 was ordered recorded 20 February 1832. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 22, pages 385–386.]

On 19 January 1835, Robert Hill and James Roy Micou Jr were bound in the penalty of $150 for Robert Hill’s administration of the estate of Winslow B Smither. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, pages 317–318.]

The estate of Winslow B. Smither in account with Robert Hill, adminsitrator, for 1835 was ordered recorded on 18 September 1837. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, pages 184–185.]
