Essex County Birth Records give his birth date as 1889. Cora Lee Boughan provides a different birth date: April 5, 1888. Hers may be more accurrate; the Essex County listing simply says April 1889 with no exact date. Essex County birth records before p. 68. Pearl Irene Davis Kopp said on 28 September 1991 that Joseph and Letha had six children.
